Overview

This installation is an excellent example of the artist’s distinctive approach to exterior wall applications. Huether expresses the building’s “story” and function through imaginative and original material selection. 22,000 toy cars were epoxied and sealed onto a 16' H x 32' W steel frame on the western facade of the Stockton Arena parking structure. Viewers from afar experience the installation as a straightforward and beautiful mosaic; viewers who are closer can see each individual toy car and are able to perceive the playful and literal aspect of the work.
