Create an art design for the fencing surrounding an elementary school in Marfa, TX. Dimensions (overall): Material: various colors of 2″ nylon webbing
Goals
This was a design project for a larger revamp of an elementary school in Marfa, TX. We designed an art weaving on the fence influenced by the heavy art influencer in Marfa, TX. The install of the work was done with the local community.
Process
I have been a member of the artist community in Marfa, TX for over 20 years. I reached out to close friends and members of the community to cast a large network of volunteers to aid in the art install project.
