The main objective of this venture was for LBD Fine Art to seamlessly blend ten commissioned artworks of various media throughout the hospital. The commissioned artwork had to preserve the customized design concept developed by the architecture firm and interior designers.
The primary intention for combining an assortment of commissioned artwork into this area was to establish an organic soothing positive environment that complemented the distinct design aesthetics of the architecture firm and interior designers. A cohesive design was an essential aspect of the project. The commissioned artwork, colors, fabrics and furnishings all working in a partnership to foster an exceptionally beautiful healing realm was the priority.
Constant communication specifying and outlining all the meticulous details occurred between the professionals involved in this project. This was crucial to achieve a project of this magnitude and make it a success. LBD Fine Art worked directly step by step with each artist selected for this art program. It was essential for LBD Fine Art that all ten commissioned artworks harmonized as a group and yet stood alone to maintain the wonderful distinctive design concept. The commissioned artwork included photography, paintings, watercolors, as well as porcelain pieces displayed prominently in the hospital.
My expressive detailed brushwork and enthusiastic control of rich pigments rise off the picture plane of my painting to produce the luxurious textures. This texture is best viewed in proper light. I was very pleased with the assimilation of natural light and the notable attention payed toward the light fixtures utilized to showcase my impasto technique. My craft begins by quieting my mind with meditation and traveling deep within myself, each painting I create is infused with Reiki healing energy. As a certified Reiki healer and yoga instructor for over twenty years my creations are an ideal fit for healthcare.
Art matters. Attention to the details of our environment leads to love of place, which brings us to take responsibility for the spaces where we live and work. And by extension, the people with whom we live and work. And by extension, to our local communities, our cities, our nations, and our world.
We champion the role of artists in our society. We need artists to provide us with inspiration, creativity, and imagination, and to help us envision a better world.
Architects and designers know that remarkable design can change everything. They connect the dots across disciplines, collaborating with artists to make the world a more beautiful place. They are the ultimate patrons of the arts.
In the process, design professionals promote imagination and creativity, and through their commissions, make original art integral to and accessible in people's lives.
Art in our public and private spaces helps us fight ordinary buildings, ordinary streets, ordinary cities. We celebrate the extraordinary.
The architecture of our buildings and the design of our interiors affect our happiness and well-being. Each of us deserves a daily dose of inspiration.
