Overview
Steve and his wife Trudy saw our sculptures at an art show we did in Portland, OR and invited us to see their expansive back yard, with the idea of designing a site specific piece that would be a focal point for their re-design of their landscaping.
Goals
The piece had to be large enough to be seen from the inside of their home and yet not overpower the vegetation and the setting.
Process
We agreed on a budget and created 3 maquettes, from which the client and their landscape architect chose one and collaborated with us on the color pallette. In the spring their landscape architect will plant more vegetation around the sculpture to "set" the piece.
Additional Information
The sculpture is 8 feet long, 5 feet high and 2 feet deep. It is made of powder coated steel.
