Overview

Interior Office Solutions specializes in developing functional, productive, and beautiful workplace environments tailored to each client's unique requirements. Interior Office Solutions has strong alliances with several of the most innovative and respected product manufacturers in the industry. IOS hired Felderman Keatinge and associates to design their new Los Angeles showroom and to also install art as an integral part of the space.

Goals

Interior Office Solutions wanted to feature the artist’s work in their new Los Angeles Showroom and had hired Felderman Keatinge Associates because they knew art was always an integral part of the firm’s architectural design and the art would be a good backdrop for the furniture they represented. Some of the furniture included in the space had been designed for Haworth by Felderman Keatinge. The main goal was to create a space to serve as the social mecca in downtown Los Angeles.

Process

The large wall mural in the conference room was created on Stanley’s iPad, then blown up and printed on acoustic wrapped stretched canvas.

The large column is the pivot point of the space and holds an original acrylic painting created on site by Stanley. The large graphics in the private offices are Stanley's original sketches that he did during project meetings. They were enlarged and reassembled in Photoshop.

The 42" Square cloud-like images are intended to provide both visual and sound acoustics in the small breakout rooms.

The work is an intimate process about experimenting, taking in info, digesting it and intuitively integrating through reaction during the process.
