Overview
Santa Monica art collector, Mark Kreher, commissioned me to take photographs of his home to showcase his collection as well as professionally designed interior.
Goals
Mark and his wife, Mary, often do home exchanges with homeowners around the world. They needed a good set of photographs that show their home environment to attract the right home exchange audience.
Process
Owner was a former commercial photographer and understand the nuances of lights. His home a block from the beach gets a lot of natural light but gets a bit harsh for photography in the afternoon. He and I strategize the sequence of photo shoot to avoid dealing with the harsh afternoon light and experimented with strobe light mixed in although natural light mostly served the best in the situation.
