Overview
A series of 13 project specific, rotation moulded high density polyethylene forms abstracted from the flowering eucalyptus blossoms which form the floral remblem of the city. Each blossom form is 2.1m diameter and each of the stamens is provided with an individual low voltage internal light source.
Goals
The major goal was to use local flora to inspire a work on the notion of “growth” for the interior of the community library/learning hub.
Process
This work is one of many collaborations between Warren Langley (artist) Trent Baker (industrial designer and director Armature Design Support) and Partridge Event Engineering (structural engineers.
