Overview

Each of the four nature-inspired art pieces for the elevators of Sorrento Pointe combines multiple layers of natural imagery to form ethereal abstracts. They are inspired by the Pacific ocean bordering our local Torrey Pines State Reserve.

Goals

The goal of this project was to represent the property. The Torrey Reserve project consists of seven, multi-tenant, Class A buildings, four single-tenant buildings and three mixed use properties that offer majestic views to the Pacific Ocean and the Torrey Pines State Park Beach and Reserve.

Process

Betsy Schultz and I worked on this project together to design imagery that would captivate and calm the visitors and remind them of the geolocation. The imagery is comprised of microscopic beach matter and the calming mood comes from the cool color pallet.
