Overview

5 foot tall Elephant for Elephant Parade Milan- Fiberglass, paint, Swarovski crystal. This piece was displayed in the Galleria then auctioned. It raised over $20,000 for conservation of Elephants and now lives in Mallorca.

Goals

I was on tour with Katy Perry in Australia when we got word of the project. I was asked to sketch and then create an elephant maquette representing Katy Perry's California Dreams Tour. Several artists of many mediums, art, fashion, music participated.

Process

Katy approved my first sketch and we went forward from there. I estimated the crystal order and Swarovski were kind enough to heavily discount that very large order. I did a Skype lesson in crystal application for the local atelier in Milan and this artists did a marvelous job in execution.
