Overview
Red Eclipse II, 4 feet by 9 feet in three panels. Oil glazes using natural mineral pigments, acrylic, marble dust, and metal on wood. First shown in the Pam Miller Gallery in Lexington, KY. Now in a private home.
Goals
For the Pam MIller Gallery exhibit, we selected works that used the circular forms as an idea expressed in both small and large works.
Process
In the private home where it is now, the piece received a very central place, being the most colorful piece in a fairly muted choice of soft grays in furniture and carpets. The circles mirrored the exposed large, black pipes in the ceiling, as well as black lines around window trims etc.
Additional Information
Red Eclipse II was meant for this home!
