The Color Dance design was inspired by Calder's mobiles. L 74" x H 24" x W 50".Materials Dichrolaminated Acrylic and Stainless steel
The projects goal was to bring visual interest and a focal work into the grand room's upper space. Through the use of Dichrolaminate materials vividly changing colors of transmitted and reflected light move throughout the room animating the space.
The grand room's ceiling had been equipped with an electric hoist with the intention of installing a suspended work. Color Dance was chosen from the Canneto Studio's Opulus Collection and placed on long term loan to the Universal Design Living Laboratory's art collection.

In the process, design professionals promote imagination and creativity, and through their commissions, make original art integral to and accessible in people's lives.
Art in our public and private spaces helps us fight ordinary buildings, ordinary streets, ordinary cities. We celebrate the extraordinary.
The architecture of our buildings and the design of our interiors affect our happiness and well-being. Each of us deserves a daily dose of inspiration.
