This project is the result of all requests from the priest, the parish community and the technical team. The focus is on light, the light of God capable of communicating and inspiring even the youngest. Starting from the figure of Saint Pius X in the center of the apse area, the light design develops and expands throughout all Church.
The idea was to have monochromatic stained glass panels where the blue color predominates: the blue of the celeste kingdom, the blue of the purity of soul proper to holiness. Despite this monochrome through a use of particular artistic technique and design, these windows are different from each other but at the same time they appear as a single piece, a work of art in which the sacred environment is literally immersed.
From the central figure the white light of sanctity expands throughout the work. In fact there are many lines of light that run throught all the windows. The use of the collage technique allows to avoid any interruption respecting the contemporary design. The panels are decorated with the technique of engraving.
Many people were involved in this project and the main challenge was to satifly all the requests. From one side the young community wanted a very modern artwork, on the other side the parish priest asked to convey also a liturgical meaning to the work. Finally, the architect and technical committee requested specific parameters for the glass windows. Thanks to our warehouse of more than 1.500 different tones of colours of mouth-blown glass, it was possible to choose the most adequate tonality. Our technical team played also an important role in meeting the technical needs.
The work is characterized by important technical aspects: each panel is inserted in a double glazing that protects the artistic glass both inside and outside, improving thermal and acoustic insulation. The safety glass panels of the double glazing reduce the UV rays by 99.9%, protecting the artistic works inside the Church.

[ manifesto ]
Art matters. Attention to the details of our environment leads to love of place, which brings us to take responsibility for the spaces where we live and work. And by extension, the people with whom we live and work. And by extension, to our local communities, our cities, our nations, and our world.
We champion the role of artists in our society. We need artists to provide us with inspiration, creativity, and imagination, and to help us envision a better world.
Architects and designers know that remarkable design can change everything. They connect the dots across disciplines, collaborating with artists to make the world a more beautiful place. They are the ultimate patrons of the arts.
In the process, design professionals promote imagination and creativity, and through their commissions, make original art integral to and accessible in people's lives.
Art in our public and private spaces helps us fight ordinary buildings, ordinary streets, ordinary cities. We celebrate the extraordinary.
The architecture of our buildings and the design of our interiors affect our happiness and well-being. Each of us deserves a daily dose of inspiration.
