Overview

A Conversation In Six Parts is fabricated with Stainless Steel and Silicon Bronze Sheet and measures approximately 10’Hx 28’L X 15’W and includes landscaping designed by the artist.

Goals

The goal of the project was to create a monumental sculpture for Journal Square, a busy pedestrian thoroughfare in the center of Hamilton, Ohio. It was intended for the artwork to act as a gathering point and to enhance the experience of residents and visitors in the area.

Process

I worked with the selection committee of a private civic organization and coordinated with the construction contractor they hired to oversee pouring of concrete footings and other details of installation. I also worked with a local landscaper to select plantings and other materials for sculpture.
