Overview

Design Built – Building webbing wrap using ACM with Alum Skeleton structure. LED Wall wash lighting trims out the webbing with a color changing RGB capability.

Goals

The webbing pattern was presented to the owners by IDDI. At first it had a 3 dimensional look to it which was not able to be achieved in an economical fashion.
The city which prides themselves on their progressive design friendly neighborhoods also had input to the final coverage and look.

Process

Discussions began after being introduced to the owner/anchor tenant as a possible solution to the challenge they faced in achieving the intent but maintaining budget.
Jones Sign project development team began looking at the scope differently with guidance of what had been tried before which was over budget.
Then concept sketches, risa analysis, samples sections and finally a direction was agreed upon.

Additional Information

This design element is something that really distinguishes the building among many other projects in south Florida. We are so thankful to have played a role in the owners vision to maintain and include artistic design in construction.
