There is an ageless quality about Tyler’s Brickheads, reminiscent perhaps of the temple carvings of Angkor Wat or the great Olmec heads of Central America. The sculptures can be envisioned as the contemporary relics of our own civilization not yet past. Monumental personifications of place and entity, they are also cautionary reflections on the ecological uncertainties that we (humankind) are all merrily shepherding into our own collective future.
