Mia Kaplan is a painter, sculptor, and textile designer from Southeast Louisiana. She holds a degree in Drawing and Printmaking from the Memphis College of Art, and has held residencies at the New Orleans Botanical Gardens, Louisiana Artworks in New Orleans, and Big Cat Press in Chicago. She exhibits nationally in galleries, museums, art fairs, and public places. Her work illustrates a personal connection to natural borders, landscapes, wild flowers, refuges and themes of transformation.
