Fredrick Prescott, a self-taught artist, was born in Palo Alto in 1949, the oldest son of the chief inventor and owner of the Universal Coin Meter Co. Fredrick began working with metal at the age of six. Since 1974, Prescott has exhibited his work worldwide and created commissions for both private & corporate collectors. His larger-than-life sculptures are seen as a blend of folk art, pop art, and technically advanced construction, and have been installed in public parks and venues where people of all ages and backgrounds can enjoy them. He resides in Santa Fe, NM.
