My passions for science, technology and invention combine with a poetic sense of space to create artworks that confound and delight viewers, while inviting their participation. The works I create are sculptural objects, inspired by biological forms and the mathematical relationships behind them, yet they respond to and enhance their surroundings; they are bold and energetic, yet meditative and refined; are simple in concept, yet can be complex; have large-scale presence, yet engage the viewer up-close. They are fabricated in-house to maintain control over costs and quality, and because, for me, the making enriches the creative process.
