Boston-based painter Nedret Andre is a quintessential artist-advocate. Her fascination for coastal environments, particularly the critical role of seagrass, leads her to join marine ecologists on field work, participate in symposia, and keep her writing and research dedicated as much to her experiences in the waters of coastal New England, as to her studio practice.
