Libby Ware creates limited edition and one-of-a-kind clay wall sculptures. She began as a two-dimensional artist and, in 1976, began to paint three-dimensional objects. Ware works in clay and uses a number of techniques (thrown, altered, built by hand, and poured) to create an object. As each piece is constructed, Ware visualizes the surface. She is fascinated by how surface and shape alters the perception, emotion, nature, and material of a collection of objects.
