Emily Weiskopf is an interdisciplinary artist living and working in Austin, TX. She was nominated for the Rome Prize in 2012 and was commissioned by the NY D.O.T for her solo exhibition of Unparallel Way Public Sculpture, 150' long which debut in October of 2013. Unparallel Way has been reviewed in over 30 countries around the world and was published in City Embellishment, Urban Design II, and is on temporary loan at Governor Malloy's Sculpture Grounds and the Bushnell Plaza until 2019. Her public and site-specific work brings together concepts of conscious awareness to heal with a universal and archetypal symbolism, a given site and the complex relationship between the built environment, the community, the individual and the natural world. These works are the monumental expression of my vision.
