Darcy Meeker works in stone, silk, encaustic, oils, light, airbrush, photography, aluminum and copper. She gives workshops on the healing power of making art. Her commissions include large public sculpture for festivals, municipalities. corporate building enhancement, churches and private homes. She has had solo shows in five different colleges, and her work has been included in galleries and art centers in twelve states. The Color Project (design and fabrication) produces kinetic light art experiences featuring reflective sculpture and The Chromilluminator photobooth. Darcy’s goal with public art is dramatic impact and attention to intricate detail. The viewer gets something from a glance and something more profound from careful consideration.
