Alex Hirsch specializes in providing painterly art glass solutions and innovations for architectural environments. She incorporates landscape and abstraction into quiet, evocative imagery that lifts and soothes the viewer. Each commissioned project is designed with the specific site, community, and priorities in mind; her commissions have included hospitals, universities, civic, corporate and secondary education. She has a BFA and BA from the University of Michigan and an MFA from Washington University in St. Louis. She developed her glass skills in professional studios in the United States, Scotland, and Germany. Her glass art is influenced by three decades of making paintings inspired by the natural world.
