I create landscape-based, environmentally responsive public art commissions and installations nationally and internationally, and am represented in the public collections of the cities of Seattle, Portland, Boulder, Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary and others. My works are collaborations with the built and natural world to foster a sense of connectedness in our increasingly fractured environment, and explore how human and non-human ecologies can come into closer dialogue. My experience in landscape architecture, urban forestry and zoo design informs my art practice and understanding of public space. I've worked at the Central Park Conservancy and the Bronx Zoo in NY, and studied Environmental Design at the University of Pennsylvania (BA), and Sculpture at the University of North Carolina (MFA). I have been directing more of my practice towards the growing climate crisis. In 2019 my open-sourced project ”Sea Level 2080” was implemented by volunteers and activists globally across 5 continents.
