Designed for use by artists, design professionals, and industry resources, CODAworx provides its members with a platform to earn recognition for their design + art projects, connect with other members of the creative community, and conduct transactions.
CODAworx seeks to fill this position with a strong writer who can create copy and content for emails, website, and other promotional materials, and serve as the voice of the company in written communications with members. The primary responsibility of this position is to write marketing emails, write press releases, coordinate content for company’s monthly digital magazine, and develop a new Resources section of the website. This position requires marketing communications skills.
Essential Professional and Personal Qualifications
Excellent writing and editing skills, attention to grammar
Ability to write marketing copy as well as longer, researched articles
Experience interviewing on phones and email
Exceptional prioritization skills
Strong interpersonal skills for dealing and working with a variety of people
Excellent computer and software skills as well as familiarity with databases, like Salesforce and Pardot.
Proactive self-starter who works on own initiative
Ability to structure own time, set goals, and carry out projects independently
Ability to contribute to a supportive culture and work well with a small team
Ability to bring a level of creativity, commitment, flexibility, and energy to work with a start-up company
Other Desirable Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing, Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications or related field
Marketing experience writing web copy
Background in an art or design field a plus
Quick with new computer applications

Public Art Administrative Internship
CODAworx is a global online community that showcases design projects featuring commissioned artwork in interior and architectural spaces. Since 2012, the site has been an online hub for the commissioned art world where anyone can showcase work, hire artists, and get hired. Designed for use by artists, design professionals, and industry resources, CODAworx provides its members with a platform to earn recognition for their design + art projects, connect with other members of the creative community, and conduct transactions.
The intern will gain valuable experience by contributing to all aspects of administration for an international RFP Listing program for public art and other commissions. Tasks include researching nationwide and global opportunities for artists including commission opportunities, calls for artists, requests for qualifications, and requests for proposals. This position also helps to promote these public art calls for artists using CODAworx tools and contacts.
The internship will take place from January - May 2016. Hours are flexible and will range from 8 - 10 hours per week, depending on the intern's schedule. CODAworx is located at 122 W. Washington Avenue, Suite 100 (right off of the Capitol Square).
Eligibility: Open to all college students and recent graduates located in Madison, Wisconsin, preferably with an art background.
Budget: Unpaid, but successful interns will be more than compensated in startup experience, opportunities for growth and development, glowing references and letters of recommendation, and connections to the art industry. Course credit could be available, depending on the student's program.
