  • Brief Description

    The City of Dunwoody is seeking qualifications from artists or artist teams for the commission of a sitespecific outdoor public sculpture as part of the Chamblee Dunwoody Georgetown Gateway project. The sculpture will be installed in 2024 or early 2025.

    Artists will be reviewed by a selection committee composed of Dunwoody Art Commission members. The selection committee will select up to three semi-finalists to prepare a detailed concept for the sculpture. The selected artists will be given a $500 honorarium each (mockup fee).

    The final selected artist or artist team will be awarded $55,000 (artist fee), inclusive of any travel costs. This fee should include all artist production costs, materials, installation, lighting, assistants and site manager fees, insurance requirements, etc. Artists must demonstrate the ability to execute work durable to, and suitable for, outdoors with the ability to withstand the elements of the local climate as well as interaction with the public.
