We are currently seeking proposals for three-dimensional works of art by creative artists! Edmond’s Code of Ordinances Chapter 2.96 provides a means for each major city construction project to have an appropriate display of art integrated into the project: For project information please see the website for current proposal requests.

EVAC invites artists to submit their qualifications for an outdoor, three-dimensional work(s) of art to be located on the site of our construction improvement project location. The work may be newly designed or existing. The work sought is to be original, portray the character of the area, and exemplify the spirit of community. Selected artist(s) will be commissioned to deliver and install the public artwork. The work will be public-facing and is considered “public art.” Works approved by EVAC become part of the City’s Public Art Collection and are considered permanent installations.

This project is open to all individual artists and collaborative submissions and encourages a creative approach. The work may be representational, abstract, or realistic, but the proposed design or existing work should resonate with a diverse audience.

Project Goals

The objective of this artwork is to provide a vibrant addition to Edmond's collection. It is encouraged that the work has some form of interactive component or intrigue, drawing residents and visitors to Edmond.

Eligibility & Criteria

Submitting artists must be:
18 years of age or older and/or able to enter into a binding contract. If artists are applying as a team, all individuals should be listed, and one individual should be specified as the team leader to receive notifications. If selected, all artists involved will be required to sign the contract and paperwork
