The City of Surprise invites artists or artist teams to submit qualifications to lead the design and integration of a creative outdoor gathering space at the new Multigenerational Community Resource Center in Surprise, Arizona. The selected design should recognize and celebrate the history, contributions and culture of the Original Town Site, inspire creativity and curiosity, and consider elements of landscaping and shade in the design. A community selection panel will select four finalists to participate in a design proposal phase where they will receive a $2,000 design fee + travel costs to meet with stakeholders, submit design proposals and participate in interviews with the selection panel.
