The City of Virginia Beach seeks a professional artist or artist team to design, fabricate, and install a freestanding and interactive sculpture(s) for City View Park. This sculpture will serve as an invitation for families and children to play, engage, and explore in new and unique ways while in the park.

The artwork should balance the themes of community and learning with the invocation of whimsy and joy. Suggestions for inspiration include nature and wildlife, music, art history, human history, science, and visitor collaboration.

A high priority of this project is accessibility and offering individuals with and without disabilities a variety of multi-sensory ways to interact with and explore the artwork. Potential opportunities for accessibility may include the integration of light, sound, movement, color, pattern, texture, etc.
