  • Brief Description

In 2023, the Florida Legislature established the Florida Space Exploration Monument to commemorate the past achievements and contributions of individuals who made Florida a leader in space exploration. Looking to the future, this monument will also serve to inspire individuals to help maintain this state's role as such. The Florida Department of Management Services is administering an open call art contest and is seeking responses from qualified artists. A plan consisting of the selected finalist's design and logistical information including budget, materials, and location will be submitted to the Florida Governor, the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives by July 1, 2024.
