The Chandler Arts Commission and Community Services Department are looking for an Arizona-based artist or artist team to create an outdoor entryway shade structure for the Tumbleweed Recreation Center (TRC). The selected artist (or artist team) will work with city staff and project architects to create an integrated structure in conjunction with the TRC expansion. Tumbleweed Recreation Center is a 62,000 square foot facility located at 745 E Germann Rd, Chandler, AZ 85286. From Tumble Tots and Teen Fitness to Personal Training and Silver Sneakers active adult programs, the TRC provides a wide variety of classes, activities, and events for all ages. The desired artwork will reflect the qualities of wellness, intergenerational play, physical activity, and community.
