Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs through its Art in Public Places Program and Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works with partners Atlantic Pacific Companies, CorwilArchitects, Valle & Valle Architects, and One Line Design request qualifications from professional artists and/or artist teams to commission artworks for Overtown Transit Improvements and Block 45. The selected artist(s) will design unique artwork(s) that will contribute to the identity of this facility and engage employees, residents, visitors and passers-by in unexpected and delightful ways.

It is envisioned that artworks will be integrated into the architecture and create connection to and within to the nearby Overtown Transit Village, Brightline Station, and Historic Overtown / Lyric Theatre Metrorail Station.
