  • Brief Description

Utah Public Art, in association with the Division of Facilities Construction and Management and Utah State University, is seeking artists interested in creating site specific artwork for the Mehdi Heravi Global Teaching & Learning Center in Logan, Utah. The new building will serve as the central location for the Department of World Languages and Cultures. It will provide state-of-the-art education and research space for faculty and students, creating a central hub for individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
The Art Selection Committee is interested in working with an artist that understands the architectural history of the USU Quad, celebrates the cultural connections experienced at USU, and values the key words discussed during the building's design: empathy, understanding, compassion, connection, and peace. The Committee feels the facility deserves site-specific art that aligns with its mission to create a welcoming and inviting space for the international community.
