48 Blocks Atlantic City includes a summer long citywide mural program inviting artists from all backgrounds, locations, and levels of experience to create art across the 48 blocks of Atlantic City, NJ.

Our program emphasizes focus on artistic freedom and expression, encouraging participating artists to bring their personal artistic vision to life leading to a diverse range of styles and content in the permanent public art in Atlantic City. 70 murals have been produced to-date!

48 Blocks AC is a program of the Atlantic City Arts Foundation (ACAF), a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing public access to art and fostering community art appreciation in Atlantic City. The program is produced in partnership with Stockton University.

Our goal is to create opportunities for muralists from novice to professional. We’ll be offering small, medium, and large walls and will be selecting muralists from all levels of experience to participate.

STIPEND & LODGING:

• Large Wall – ACAF will provide artists with a $1300 - $2000 artist stipend plus materials budget.
• Medium Wall – ACAF will provide artists with a $900 - $1300 artist stipend plus materials budget.
• Small Wall – ACAF will provide artists with a $500 - $800 artist stipend plus materials budget.

ELIGIBILITY:

• Applications are open to any artists who abide by the program guidelines
• Artists may apply as an individual or group; however the budget & stipend provided is per mural, not per person.
• Artists with all levels of experience are encouraged to apply. It is recommended that applicants have some experience painting large-scale, outdoor murals.
