  • Brief Description

    The Summit County Public Art Advisory Board (“SCPAAB”), whose mission is to celebrate and unite Summit County residents through public art, is seeking a local artist/artist team by commissioning them to create a public mural reflecting the history and spirit of Hoytsville, Utah. The mural will be installed on the side of the Summit County Public Works Building and shall cover an area of approximately 121’x11’. The artist/s will conduct a listening tour of Hoytsville residents and Indigenous Tribal Members and incorporate elements of the tour into the mural. The intent of this project is to create a historically sensitive and informative art installation in a beautiful area of Summit County, Utah. The Summit County Art Advisory Board (“SCPAAB”) will provide a total honorarium in the amount of $10,000 to cover all applicable expenses, including all fees for consulting with the design team, the design, supplies and execution of all artwork selected.
