This is a community beautification project to create a sense of wonder and excitement and attract visitors and area residents to Riverwalk to experience culture and to be inspired by and engage with the uplifting art. The 4 mural wall sites are located in the heart of Riverwalk and are physically separated but aligned roughly along a north/south spine connecting the edges of the community from Highway 6 to the Eagle River and Eagle River Trail. The artwork must embrace a mountain lifestyle theme that recognizes the unique context of the Riverwalk area and its immediate surroundings. Words of inspiration include altitude, elevation, nature, wildlife, and adventure. The artwork should incorporate bold colors, imaginative ideas, and reference special qualities of our community. Colorado artists are strongly encouraged to apply and will be given highest consideration. Non-Colorado based artists who are mountain enthusiasts with a connection to CO mountain communities are also eligible.
