Public Art Chattanooga (PAC) and the East Lake Neighborhood are seeking artist and designer qualifications to be considered for a public art seating project in Chattanooga’s historic East Lake Park. Residents see this as a key opportunity for public art to build a connection in the heart of their community and would like the seating to reference the people and history of the community without distracting from the natural elements and flow of the park. The Interactive / Functional Artistic Seating should also encourage rest, relaxation or play, while also incorporating interactive elements such as sound, movement, shade or light. This opportunity is open to artists and designers in the United States. The receipt deadline is March 10,2022. PLEASE NOTE: The City of Chattanooga offers a Supplier Portal for electronic submittal of responses. Electronic submittal is encouraged. The only method for electronic submittal for formal solicitations is through the Supplier Portal. Email submittal is not accepted. Registration in the Supplier Portal is required for submitting a response. The registration process may take 1-3 days to complete within the City.
