Odessa Arts invites professional artists or artist teams to submit qualifications to design and fabricate a mural for Lakeview offices. This piece will be funded through the Mural Assistance Grant Program. Odessa Arts along with the owner of the Lakeview office building, is looking for a muralist to create a significant mural on the entrance side of the building to activate the building and add a sense of community pride. The Public Art Committee seeks works by professional artists to add to and integrate with the City of Odessa and its growing collection of public art. The artwork should be bright and colorful. The design should consider and incorporate images of native vegetation and flora. In addition to the goals stated above, the art should also: -Meet the needs of the community -Reflect a quality that will engage the community -Reflect a quality that will enhance the reputation of Odessa to the external art community -Reflect a quality that will enhance the reputation of Odessa, making it an Arts destination -Allow the community to use the artwork as an example of exceptional public art -Be durable, sustainable and easy to maintain To apply and view full commission document, create or login to your free account on publicartist.org
