The Phoenix Airport Museum, in collaboration with the City of Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture, is soliciting a call for art to professional artists for completed studio work available for purchase. Artists must apply for their artwork to be selected, purchased and acquired for the Phoenix Airport Museum’s portable works collection. Portable works can be either two- or three-dimensional in a variety of studio art mediums. Painters, printmakers, sculptors, fiber artists, digital and other visual artists are encouraged to apply. A diverse array of artwork themes will be considered including urban environments, scenic wonders, historic or cultural heritages, non-objective and abstract work, or artwork interpreting scientific, technological or mathematic concepts. There are no limits on the physical dimensions of the applicant’s artwork, however it must be able to be reasonably transported and used in display areas throughout the airport system.
