This is an opportunity for artists specializing in two-dimensional design with experience in community engagement. This is a fast-tracked project that will require an artist who can begin research and design in the summer of 2022. Construction is expected to begin in fall 2022.This is a fast-tracked project. The selected artist will be expected to quickly design custom concrete treatments for designated areas of the park, such as the sidewalks and skate plaza area. Community engagement for the project must occur before the design is developed and finalized. The selected artist will be expected to review concepts with the city and the design team to ensure that the artwork is seamlessly integrated into the space with regards to site specific regulations. Once approved, artists will work with a city-managed contractor to convert the final design into digital files that clearly depict the concrete patterns and colors in relationship to the site.
