  • Brief Description

The Beach and Peach Urban Park is a 68-acre nature preserve including bike trails, a 5-acre pond, and a newly built 6600 sf. Community Center.
The Community Center is seeking an outdoor sculpture that engages and accents the surrounding landscape and environment. The sculpture can be representational or abstract, and should be inspired by the textures and aesthetics of the flora and fauna of Duval County and/or the natural life cycle as well as the coastal/river/pond theming represented in the community center’s interior design.
There are four (4) possible location options for this sculpture. The sculpture may consist of a variety of materials and techniques, provided the work is durable, and made to withstand a humid subtropical climate that consists of hot summers, heavy rains, and high winds. The work should also discourage climbing and be vandal resistant.
