Artists will work with community members to design and install an asphalt mural. The intersection will include bulb-outs marked with plastic bollards to extend space for people walking & biking, to create community gathering areas, and to slow traffic and shorten pedestrian crossing distances. This project is a partnership between Art Students League of Denver, Asphalt Art Initiative, BuCu West, City of Denver, Denver Streets Partnership, and The Trust for Public Land.
Goal: does the project create feelings of community and complement the Morrison Road Via Verde design? Does it reflect the local culture of Westwood?
Proposals will be juried and selected by a panel representing the diversity of Denver’s Westwood community.
