The Foglia Center for Advanced Technology and Innovation will highlight the college’s focus on career readiness by expanding its workforce training and advanced manufacturing programs. The artwork will be suspended above the collaboration steps/lobby area and should be a 3-D expansive piece. The potential artwork area encompasses seven feet from the ceiling deck to the bottom of the artwork. This location will allow for a large, dynamic, and impactful installation that is visible from throughout the space.

The Committee is interested in exploring the themes of innovation and curiosity. It would like to meld the use of materials such as metal that connect to innovation, technology, and manufacturing with warm natural elements such as wood.

This commission is open to all professional artists, artisans, or artist-led teams that live and work in the state of Illinois.
