Client: Peter's Elementary School

Overview

The Color of Nature, Outdoor acrylic paint, 25’ l x 12 ‘ h.
Commissioned by an Elementary School this mural enhances a wall through the use of fantasy, utilizing themes and colors associated with the natural environment. Meant to inspire young children with its lush colors, giant foliage, and a shooting star, all associated with Florida.

Goals

This school is quite old. The PTA wanted to update the school and make it more inviting for the children.

Process

Working with the PTA, I presented several designs. The final mural is so successful, the PTA has decided to move forward with more murals on additional walls.

Additional Information

The Color of Nature was a successful collaboration in that not only does the PTA enjoy the finished mural, but the children got to experience the value of art. Watching each day as the mural proceeded, the children were mesmerized and inspired. Their comments were priceless! Dimensions: 12’ x 25’ x 0"
