Overview
“Standing Wave” is fabricated with Stainless Steel and measures 13'H x 3'W x 3'D and sits atop a marble basin with cascading water features on all four sides. It is positioned in front of a large Luxury Residential Apartment Complex, Harbor Square which faces the Hudson River in Ossining, NY.
Goals
The goal of this project was to create a sculpture that would anchor the entrance to the Apartment Complex and serve as a visual marker in a site that is situated on the Hudson River between the Metro North Train Station and a newly opened public park. It was desired for the sculpture to be integrated with the fountain basin and visually relate to the view of the river.
Process
The collaborative process involved customizing the supporting base for a pre-existing sculpture to create the proper flow and connection with the basin below.
