Overview

Arc of Peace is 5.5 ft tall, 3 ft wide and 2 ft deep. The beautifully landscaped location is a park in the City of Edmond OK. The place that includes the sculpture is approximately 10 x 10 ft.

Goals

Joe and Elizabeth Wanner wanted to donate a sculpture to be placed at Hafer Park in Edmond where many families spend their time. The selected "Arc of Peace" because it appealed to children and has a spiritual aspect as well.

Process

The city of Edmond has creative art in public places program that brings together business people, citizens artists, and the city to beautify the city with sculpture. Business and citizens can select or commission sculpture to be publicly placed and the city will share 50% of the cost.

Additional Information

I think the collaboration that the City of Edmond has with the citizens to place artwork in the town is a pretty amazing thing. I am so proud to be a part of it!
